A TINY CLICK. A MASSIVE IDEA.
All of us.
What happens when the internet does one thing together?
The idea
Let’s try to make this the most visited website in the world. Together. That is an ambition, not a claim. Right now, the visible counter measures participants who click “COUNT ME IN” — never visits.
What counts
Each accepted click from a new browser identity adds exactly one. A database transaction records its timestamp and increments the shared total. Repeated clicks and retries from the same identity do not add more. Counts start at zero; no fake participants are added.
Not a verified human count
Browser deduplication is basic protection, not proof that every click comes from a different person. Private browsing, cleared cookies and automated browsers can bypass it. Stronger abuse protection and independent evidence review are required before making any record claim.
A record takes more than a counter
This is unofficial and not Guinness-approved. A “most visited” category may use different definitions, time windows, visit measurements and audit standards. A formal application and agreed evidence rules must come first. Separate approximate arrival data and timestamped participation evidence are kept privately; neither guarantees certification.
